Max has been his usual self. Naughty but nice. Arthur is very excited about us being away, so that they can have Max for the week!

Well I slipped up last week didn’t I? I clean forgot to send you a card.

Aunty Tanya quit work on Friday. She was going to finish at Christmas time but she was very unhappy in the new place. The practice manager asked when she would be leaving and as they had just a fight she said “right now!” Go Tanya!

All went well with Katies graduation yesterday. I think she had a lovely day. She loved her ring. We will have to get it resized but thats ok.

Hello Annie,

Once again a card that doesn’t truly fit the guidelines, I think this is only the second one so that isn’t too bad. But look at those cute shoes!

Well the working bee is all done and we got heaps done. I don’t even think there was an argument! The only problem was Peter and Adam got so drunk on Saturday night. They apparently had 6 beers at the club after golf, a beer before dinner, wine with dinner although not more than a glass each and then one bottle and a small 200ml bottle of bourbon and coke! Katie tried to get them to go to bed, I think Adam got up at 1.30pm and Peter at 3.30pm. Pete was in bed singing ‘oh my God’ what a night!

Re me coming down to get your gear. I think I will stay in Boorowa on the Thurs and Friday nights, then get up and leave at 9ish on the Saturday morning to go to you and once we are all loaded I’ll just keep going on home. Will that work for you?

Hi Annie,

Well my weekend alone is all finished!

Max was mystified as to where everyone was!

The rain on Sunday was incredible. A great day to stay in. Katie and Adam came over for breakfast.

How was your pub run? When I woke at 6am on Saturday I thought of you, consuming alcohol already!

Peter had a huge weekend. He was still throwing up Sunday afternoon on the way home. He couldn’t play basketball because he was still sick.

Dear Annie,

Thought I’d get this written before I went to the dentist. I made a chocolate banana cake on the weekend and I didn’t think it was nearly as good as Bill’s recipe.

Have you heard from Peter? The resort that he and Natalie stayed at in Tasmania - owned by Nat’s dad is $600 a night to stay!! I nearly died when he told me.

Emma and Lec left on Saturday AM. They have a few days in Bangkok before off to London. Having dinner with Helen and David tonight. David is cooking a BBQ. Ross is off to Queensland to work for 2 weeks to earn big money again.

Can’t think of anything else. We seem to have talked a lot lately and I have run out of news.

Good luck on Thursday, although I’m sure we’ll talk before.

Well what about young Max Conneely?

Last night he thought he would bark very loudly at Dad at 2am!!

I get up quickly thinking he wanted to go out. Oh yes - go out and play!

Even though it was 2am it was very funny. Round and round the clothes line, so fast, a quick jump up on me and then off again.

He wouldn’t come inside. I locked the door and all. Oh no - “I’ll come in when I’m ready!” Very naughty but yes, very funny.

Hi Annie,

I don’t know what your NZ geography is like but - we left Hahe Tapau this AM - Mon - and drove to Auckland.

We intended to stop at Rotorua itself but the rain was incredible so we kept on driving. These pools are just a few k’s outside Rotorua and I have to say fairly amazing. The sulphur smell is pretty yuk but the mud pools are amazing.

I guess we will beat this home!

Hi Annie,

All is well here. Dads workshop on the weekend went well except for one huge problem - a lady spilt coffee over his laptop at morning tea on day one. Can you imagine? Yes it is all on disc - somewhere!

Arthur and Yoko used the chainsaw to cut down the palm tree. I went out for an hour to get the drill for Shannon and Graeme came home to find that the palm tree had crashed onto their hot water system. Was Yoko unhappy!

We had a big storm last evening/afternoon actually. There was a huge clap of thunder right above us - although Adam says it was above their place and Max and I were outside at the time. Well Max jumped 2 feet in the air and barked at the sky. It did frighten him. I did have a little laugh.

I had planted some pansies and violas earlier so it was nice that they got the rain, but I was concerned that they might have been washed away as the rain was so heavy.

What do you think about a lady GG? I have heard a bit about her over the years. A good choice I think.

When will we be able to wear thongs again?!

Very cold here this morning. Oh for those warm days that we had a week ago. Oh my goodness, what about London! Very interesting to listen to some of the Aussies who are living there. The haves and the have notes. Speaking of which - I think you should be writing to Time Mag, Us Congress and Mr Obama himself. Why? Well I can’t beleive that the American population have forgotten that George W started all this by reducing the amount of taxes the wealthy have to pay. They do say that Americans simply forget about previous politicians.

Crazy! Obama will be kicked out after just one term and he is nothing like K Rudd - Well I guess I don’t know that. So I think you should get your fingers typing and start a movement!

I do worry about our world - greed is a problem as is religion. On a lighter note - James Valentine played a track by your husband yesterday.

Dear Annie,

I have a story to tell! This is why mothers always worry.

As you know Peter went to the Hunter Valley with 8 others on the weekend. At 4.45am on Sunday, Max goes ballistic! I get up, open the door and look out and there is Peter across the street! One of the hobo’s wrote himself off completely, smashed beer bottles and part of a balcony and to cut a long story short, police were called and they were thrown out.

That’s why mothers always worry - because you just can never be sure, but you always hope everyone will be ok.

The other news - Katie drove the car yesterday. Hurrah!

Dear Anna,

the last card! I can’t believe it.

It will be so nice to have you home again. I know we will go in different directions and do different things, but it will be just having you “around.”

I’m sure you will remember your days at Bathurst as some of the best days of your life.
My days of living in Nurses Homes - that’s what they were called back then - were just the best of times!

You will most likely have made a lot of friends that we be forever.

Well I have just had a lovely weekend. Dad in Brisbane and Ben in Melbourne. Yesterday Max even left! There was a party next door.

On Saturday morning I watched Masterchef for a long time! I also cooked myself the best eggs benedict, the muffin and eggs were perfect!

I went to Chatswood with Katie last morning. She wanted to buy a new suit at the Oxford sale. Mind you she was sort of ripped off by bad advertising. We both told them to improve their signage. I hope she writes to complain.

Run out of room, so I’ll have to go.
